I am a researcher in philosophy and economics. Currently, I'm a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, carrying out research funded by an Ambizione Fellowship of the Swiss National Science Foundation awarded to me for four years. My project is called "Moral market mechanisms".
Before moving to Switzerland in 2016, I obtained a PhD in philosophy from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and a PhD in economics from the University of Witten, Germany.

My main focus in philosophy is on political philosophy and applied ethics (notably ethics of economics) - with side interests in philosophy of action, normative philosophy of fiction, and normative philosophy of language.
In economics, I work on political economy and the economic theory of conflict, mostly from the perspective of New Institutional Economics.
Whenever I combine philosophy and economics, I focus on normative questions. My main interest here lies on macro-level questions like “What is a just market exchange?”, but I also have a firm background in business ethics and corporate responsibility (especially as regards health care and agents in the health care system).
